This documentary is an inspiring story of resilience, rediscovery and identity. MY BRAIN: AFTER THE RUPTURE follows broadcaster, writer and musician Clemency Burton-Hill as she emerges from a 17-day coma after a catastrophic brain hemorrhage. Through intimate recordings from the earliest stages of her recovery, the film traces her efforts to rebuild her life, return to her career, complete her book and relearn the violin alongside her son. It is a powerful portrait of recovery and the fragile, determined work of reclaiming oneself after life-altering trauma.
Presented in partnership with Princeton University Concerts (PUC), this screening commemorates the fifth anniversary of PUC's Music & Healing series, which launched in collaboration with Clemency Burton-Hill and continues to explore the intersection of music, healing and human experience through conversation and performance with multifaceted artists.
